About the role

This is a professional nursing role responsible for the coordination of outpatient and inpatient services within a healthcare setting. The position entails assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient services. The nurse will function as a procedure nurse while also supporting clinical needs for all patients utilizing imaging services across multiple campuses.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide nursing assessments for preadmission, testing, care, and inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Administer post-procedure care and conduct assessments for both inpatient and outpatient procedure patients.
• Establish and monitor standards of care to promote quality patient care.

Unit Description

The nursing team within imaging services involves specialized roles in CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine, each role addressing unique nursing needs along with procedural responsibilities. The imaging department includes:

• Cayuga Park Imaging RN: Manages a well-established Breast Navigator program, guiding patients through the breast biopsy process.
• East Campus Imaging RN: Focuses on patient care within CT and MRI, while facilitating the Lung Navigation program.

Required Qualifications

• Current state nursing license verification.
• BLS certification.
