About the role
Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) providing specialized nursing care in a short-term acute care setting, focusing on procedures such as CT guided biopsies, fistulograms, GJ-tube placements, lower extremity angiograms, nuclear medicine/stress tests, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and Y90 procedures. This role requires dedication to delivering high-quality patient care within a dynamic clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for interventional radiology procedures
- Monitor procedural sedation
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Participate in on-call rotation: one night of call during the week every other week (hours 1700 to 0700), and one weekend call shift every 4-6 weeks (1700 Friday night to 0700 Monday morning), with night shift coverage required every night except Saturday night
Requirements
- Valid Compact State License
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in ICU or interventional radiology procedures
- Experience with interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
- Experience monitoring procedural sedation
- ICU experience required
- Ability to start promptly
- Current licenses in hand preferred
Schedule
- Days, 4x10-hour shifts
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
