Duties
- Provides critical nursing care to the cardiac patient
- Assists the Interventional Radiologist, Vascular Surgeon, and Endovascular Neurosurgeon in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Prepares patients for procedures
- Provides education to the patient and family members
- Inserts and removes intravenous lines
- Administers medication including moderate sedation
- Maintains patient patterns and vital signs during procedures
- Oversees the safety and comfort of patient before, during, and after procedures
- Provides post-procedure monitoring
