About the role
The Interventional Radiology Tech is responsible for providing technical assistance in patient care within the IR department.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures using conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment.
- Aid physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, and maintaining sterile conditions.
- Observe and evaluate patient responses, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Deliver high-quality, cost-effective, compassionate patient care in a professional manner.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current license in good standing and appropriate specialty certifications.
- Prior experience in special procedures/interventional, preferably in critical care.
- Ability to operate radiology equipment and interpret diagnostic data.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and professional guidelines.
