About the role

American Traveler is hiring a dual Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Seattle, Washington. This 18-week travel assignment starts on September 21, 2026, with 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts.

The role is assigned to the Interventional Radiology unit in a dual Cath/IR capacity. Daily caseload includes 4 Angio Suites and 2 ORs, handling:

  • Neuro interventions (stroke, coils, AVMs, diagnostic cerebrals)
  • Cardiac procedures (STEMI, PCI, diagnostic caths)
  • Vascular procedures (run-offs, TEVAR, EVAR)
  • Body procedures (CVC, drains, embolizations)

Shift details:

  • 4x10-hour day shifts with variable start times between 0700-0900, occasionally 1100, including weekends
  • Some weeks require coverage of 8 or 10-hour shifts
  • Schedules posted in advance on the 15th of each month
  • Requires 4-5 call shifts per month

The facility uses Epic for charting, Philips and Siemens equipment, PACS, and ultrasound.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
  • ARRT certification and WA State Radiology Tech License required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS and ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Experience with vascular studies, angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and dialysis graft interventions
  • Cardiac Cath Lab experience including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, hemodynamic monitoring, and right/left heart catheterization preferred
  • Experience with venous access, central line care, and PICC line maintenance
  • Proficiency in sterile technique and equipment setup
  • Ability to scrub, prep access sites, and serve as room circulator
  • COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions

  • Equipment setup and sterile field maintenance
  • Room circulating and supply stocking
  • Floating within the hospital based on facility needs

Additional Information

  • Facility is a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level 1 Trauma hospital with 500 staffed beds
  • First-time travelers and local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
  • Pending state license candidates accepted
  • RTO limited to no more than 6 days, with minimal RTO accommodated
  • Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2-week pay period
  • Prior UW staff must have 18 months separation before returning as a traveler
  • Scrubs provided by facility
