Travel Interventional Radiology - $3,347 per week

American Traveler is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology position in Charlottesville, Virginia. The assignment starts January 4, 2027, lasts 13 weeks, with 40 hours per week on day shifts (typically 5×8‑hour or 4×10‑hour shifts, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM). One opening is available.

Responsibilities

• Provides imaging support in the OR for vascular interventional radiology procedures
• Pulls inventory and orders cases in Epic prior to procedures
• Runs the table and controls during cases
• Performs 3D spins and works with fusion technology
• Actively engaged in the room throughout procedures, including filming and post‑processing images
• Uses HI‑IQ to document and track inventory used during cases
• Works closely with vascular surgeons, OR team, and other procedural staff
• May utilize C‑arm to support simple surgical cases alongside X‑ray staff (e.g., Impellas, cystoscopies)
• Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of vascular/IR experience
• ARRT (VI) and BLS certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Epic experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Experience with vascular studies/procedures, angioplasty, endovascular interventions (EVAR, TEVAR), thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography
• Carotid stenting experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a Hybrid OR and special procedures setting
• Experience prepping access sites and using vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Familiarity with Siemens equipment and ultrasound
• Ability to work independently and be actively involved in the entire case workflow
