Travel Interventional Radiology - $2,942 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Beaufort, South Carolina. This position requires 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and operates on a day shift. The ideal candidate should have 1 year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients
• Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Operate the fluoroscopic equipment and assist the physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
• Monitor patient during all procedures
• Report abnormal activity
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques on patient and operator exposure
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience
• Must have BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification and state-specific licensing when required
• Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Qualifications

• BLS, ARRT, 2 Years

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• Ability to operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps
• Thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
