About the Role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality Interventional Radiology Technologist for a contract with one of our top healthcare clients in Columbia, South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with patient care in the Interventional Radiology Department through technical support to the IR team.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
• Operate conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders.
• Assist the physician with diagnostic and interventional procedures by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response, maintaining a sterile field, and interpreting/evaluating diagnostic data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations, as well as accepted practice guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner while maintaining an environment of excellence that is patient-focused.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.

Requirements

• Current license in good standing.
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials.
• Eighteen months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.
