Travel Intermediate Care Unit RN - $2,376 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) position in Utica, New York. The assignment begins 11/23/2026 and lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts (approximately 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, block scheduling model, not guaranteed). The role focuses on providing high‑quality care to a diverse patient population with neuro, cardiac, trauma, respiratory (COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI) and postoperative conditions in a 64‑bed unit (15 neuro beds).

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient‑centered care in the IMCU setting.
• Utilize specialty equipment including temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, A‑lines, BiPap machines, and Neptune Vapo.
• Manage patients on chronic ventilators with assistance from respiratory therapists.
• Ensure thorough and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Float to other units as required, maintaining flexibility in care delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
• Current New York RN license; verification through NURSYS.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Up‑to‑date resume detailing travel experience and clinical competencies.
• Driver's license with matching address.
• EMR experience required: Epic.

Schedule

• Shift: 12‑hour nights, approximately 6:30
