Travel Intermediate Care Unit RN - $2,032 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Coos Bay, Oregon. TotalMed RN is a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places nurses, therapists, pharmacists, and other clinicians across all 50 states. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
