About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Intermediate Care (PCU/Step‑down) position in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients who require close monitoring but are not unstable enough for ICU care.
- Utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital signs, detecting changes to enable timely intervention.
- Administer and titrate complex medications based on patient vital signs.
- Provide progressive care in settings such as cardiac step‑down, medical step‑down, neuro step‑down, surgical step‑down, or ER holding.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care PCU/step‑down setting
- Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility
