About the Role

As the Travel Insulation Lead, you will manage the day-to-day activities of a team of laborers, carpenters, and helpers, ensuring the safety and quality of services performed. You will oversee daily scaffold and insulation activities at work sites, including scheduling workers, delivering equipment and materials, and tracking project progress. This role requires familiarity with field concepts, practices, and procedures in the specified discipline, including blueprint reading. You will schedule manpower, handle emergency work with little notice, manage foremen in the field, and track job progress. Additionally, you will lead the team in installation, assembly, dismantlement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular and system scaffolding or other temporary structures.
  • Meet hth Competent Scaffold training requirements.
  • Create and track all scaffold tickets built onsite.
  • Responsible for the supervision of crews in a plant-based setting.
  • Organize crews, delegate job responsibilities, and verify that all appropriate equipment is available onsite to complete the job safely.
  • Drive and pull equipment to various regional locations.
  • Engage with prospects, clients, and vendors to determine their needs, recommending services that align with these requirements.
  • Demonstrate the functionality and benefits of services tailored to customer needs, emphasizing practical value and application.
  • Enforce jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program.
  • Actively champion a positive workplace and safety culture.
  • Act as a liaison for all site leadership in your region and maintain positive client relations.
  • Actively develop and maintain a high-performing team dedicated to customer service.
  • Perform various other duties and functions as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in the construction/industrial field with some management experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of scaffolding and insulation in an industrial setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams and Office Suite or related software.

Training

  • Must complete an OSHA 30-hour training within 60 days of starting at hth companies.

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairways regularly throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to observe conditions and others as a safety attendant, staying alert while seated for long periods as needed.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other tools and equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Ability to perform inspections of site, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform behavioral observations focused on safety and process improvement.
  • Ability to follow safety protocol and report any incident, unsafe act, or unsafe condition immediately to the site supervisor and safety manager.
