About the Role
The Registered Nurse functions as a consultant to all staff and patients in the areas of skin prevention, wound care, ostomy management, and continence needs. This is a travel nursing position with a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultation for skin prevention and wound care management
- Assist nursing staff with ostomy care and continence needs
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Demonstrate professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients and their families
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent required
- Completion of a registered nurse degree program is required
- Minimum of 3 years full-time professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Pennsylvania
- Board certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing
- Must meet the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renew BLS every two years
