About the role

The organization is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an inpatient setting in Houston, Texas. This temporary replacement position involves providing specialized speech therapy services in both inpatient acute rehabilitation and long-term acute care units.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services in a shared setting with existing inpatient respiratory and rehabilitation units
• Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSIs) independently
• Potential to float to other units as needed

Schedule

• Days shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday available for Acute Rehabilitation Units
• 8-hour shifts, 32 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
• 0 years of experience required (new graduates welcome)
• Proficient in inpatient treatment settings
• Comfortable performing MBSIs independently

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar setting
• Previous employment with the organization or its affiliates

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 32 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
