Travel Inpatient RN - $2,237 per week

About the role

We're looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Menomonee Falls, WI. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. As a MedSurg RN, you will conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs. MedSurg RNs perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician. Documenting patient findings and providing education and support to patients' families is essential to this travel nurse position.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• 2 years recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; patient lifting may require up to 50 pounds
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Duration: 13 weeks; 36 hours per week; Shift: 12 hours, nights; Employment type: Travel.
