Job Summary

The organization is seeking a Physical Therapist (Inpatient) to join their team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role involves providing specialized inpatient therapy services to adult and geriatric patient populations within a dynamic healthcare setting. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Shift: 8 hours, days

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of clinical experience
  • valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • active New Mexico license (pending OK with ETA of 2-3 weeks)
  • familiarity with acute care, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing facility settings
  • experience with adult and geriatric patient populations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary team support

Patient Age Groups

  • Adults
  • Geriatrics

Additional Unit Information

  • Support from Physical Therapy team
  • Involvement with patients with diagnoses including hip and spinal surgeries, post stroke rehabilitation, and various neurological disorders

Additional Clinical Skills

  • Use of crutches
  • Gait belts
  • Lower extremity and upper extremity prosthetics
  • Shoulder slings
  • Standard walkers
  • Management of complex conditions such as traumatic brain injury and multiple sclerosis

Floating

Unless specifically stated otherwise, travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope as needed based on facility needs. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit.

Travel Reimbursement

Completion of modules during onsite orientation, hours recorded via transcripts, and adherence to facility protocols within 48 business hours of contract signing.

  • Active NM license (pending is acceptable with ETA)

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
