Travel Inpatient Occupational Therapist - $2,587 per week

About the role

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring 2+ years of IPR and acute care OT experience. The position is located at a 288‑bed tertiary teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma Center in Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat hospitalized patients to help them regain physical and cognitive skills needed for daily living and safe discharge.
• Work in an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit serving cardiovascular, cancer, orthopedic, and elective surgery patients.

Requirements

• Active OT license (Michigan state license required; compact license not accepted).
• Minimum 2 years of Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care OT experience.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8‑hour shifts.
• Flexible start times between 7 am and 5:30 pm.
• Possibility of 1‑2 prearranged weekend days per month.
• No on‑call requirements.
• 40 hours per week, 5×8 hrs.
• Start date: October 12, 2026.
• Assignment length: 13 weeks.
