Responsibilities
Infusion RNs assess, plan, evaluate, and implement a patient plan of care according to the individual needs of the patient as prescribed by physicians.
- Administer infusions via peripherally inserted central catheters such as chemotherapy, hydration, blood and blood components, other drugs, and solutions
- Monitor patients and record any change of condition, notifying physician and/or supervisor when necessary
- Educate patients on the procedure and aftercare
