About the Role
ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Intermediate Care position in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a 13-week contract role focused on post-operative care for vascular, kidney, and liver transplant patients.
Schedule
- 13-week contract starting 08/31/2026
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
- Blocked weekends on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Required to work every third weekend
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments
- Monitor vital signs, weight, fluid balance, and graft function
- Perform hemodynamic and neurovascular assessments
- Monitor surgical sites for bleeding or infection
- Evaluate graft function and administer medications (pain control, immunosuppressants, anticoagulation therapies)
- Monitor labs, urine output, fluids, and electrolytes
- Identify complications such as thrombosis, graft dysfunction, and rejection
- Teach medication adherence and self-administration
- Coordinate post-transplant care with the healthcare team
- Provide psychosocial support and patient/family education on lifestyle adjustments
Requirements
- 2 years of Intermediate Care (IMC) experience (required)
- Transplant experience (required)
- Active Maryland RN license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
