About the role
Deliver comprehensive critical care to ICU patients in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes in condition
- Administer complex medications and treatments following critical care techniques
- Operate advanced life support equipment and perform hemodynamic monitoring
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and address physical and emotional needs
- Document patient data accurately and timely for continuity of care
- Provide education to patients and families about treatments and recovery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize outcomes
- Maintain proficiency through ongoing education and adhere to safety protocols
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and follow infection control standards
Requirements
- One year of recent ICU RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform technical procedures and handle physical and mental demands
- Proficiency in English and PC skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist with procedures
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment
