Travel ICU RN

About the Role

The Travel ICU RN provides comprehensive critical care in an intensive care unit, assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, operating life-support equipment, administering advanced treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and monitor critically ill patients
• Administer complex medications and advanced treatments
• Operate advanced life support devices
• Ensure patient safety and comfort
• Document care and interpret hemodynamic monitoring
• Educate patients and families
• Communicate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain proficiency through ongoing education
• Follow infection control protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Monitor vital signs and manage medications
• Record patient data and respond to changes in condition
• Provide patient education and collaborate with teams
• Adhere to safety and infection protocols
• Perform assigned duties within scope of practice

Requirements

• At least one year of ICU experience
• Valid RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Preferred certifications: CCRN, TNCC, NIHSS
