This role requires comprehensive nursing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, intensive care setting. Shift Information Work Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours Start Time: 7 AM Holiday Rotation: Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend Floating: May float to Med Surg unit during low census or staffing shortages Unit Information ICU: 5 ICU beds and 3 stepdown beds Patient Ratio: 1:2, occasionally 1:3 during overflow Patient Types: Ventilator support, BiPAP, Airvo, Bariatric surgery, General surgery IV Drips Managed: Propofol, Levofed, Diltiazem, Insulin, Heparin Qualifications Minimum of 24 months of recent ICU experience is required Med Surg experience is strongly encouraged due to floating requirements Comfortable managing care for 2-5 patients Travel experience within the past 24 months is required Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, is required Active PALS and TNCC certifications are required NIHSS certification is preferred and can be obtained during onboarding Proficient in telemetric readings and assessments Certification Requirements TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Competency BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA or ARC) ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or ARC) PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA or ARC) NIHSS - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (preferred) If you are a dedicated and skilled ICU RN looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
