36 hours per week
12-hour shifts, nights
3 shifts per week, every other weekend

Unit Specifics

Number of Beds: 29
Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2 (occasionally 1:3 with patients ready to leave ICU)
Unit staffing: No CNAs, one telemetry unit secretary/tech available
Equipment: Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV 1000 and CCO, primaflex CRRT, cardiohelp ECMO
Documentation system: Meditech
Floating policy: Travelers float first to ED and step-down units
On Call Expectations: Only when census drops, otherwise no call required

Requirements

2 years of experience in ICU nursing
Certifications: ACLS, BLS (required); TNCC, NIH, ABLS (welcome)
