Travel ICU RN - $2,097 per week

About the Role

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the ICU - Intensive Care Unit in Rapid City, South Dakota. This role involves delivering critical care in a collaborative environment with advanced technology. You will assess and monitor critically ill patients, manage life-support equipment, and document care in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients
• Operate life-support equipment
• Document patient care in EMR systems
• Manage complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases
• Handle diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-surgical, and multiple system trauma

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Valid South Dakota RN license or Compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications
• 1.5 to 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Epic EMR proficiency
• Previous travel nursing experience
• SSN and DOB required
• 1 reference within the last 12 months
• Permanent address over 250 miles from Rapid City, SD
• Skills checklist within 12 months
• Reference dated within 12 months for a job worked within 5 years

Qualifications

• Experience with IV medications, ventilator management, and telemetry
• Strong critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiac experience
• Familiarity with Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
• 48-hour contracts preferred by the ICU unit

Pay Rate: $2044.00 - $2149.00
