Travel ICU RN - $2,094 per week

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing assignment in Tacoma, Washington. The position is a 13‑week contract, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts, with potential floating to related ICU/step‑down units and occasional assignment to Allenmore Hospital (≈2.5 mi).

Responsibilities

• Fill out whiteboards, perform and document hourly rounding, give bedside report.
• Treat saline flushes as medication – do not leave at the bedside or in scrub pocket.
• Do not leave medications in unlocked carts.
• When wasting medications (narcotics, benzodiazepines, etc.), two‑nurse verification is required.
• Document pain before and after administering pain medication (30 min for IV, 1 hour for oral).
• Take required breaks.
• Complete 1‑day general hospital orientation, 1‑day unit orientation (12 h) on ICU, and 1‑day of 12 h on like units.
• Pass traveler telemetry competency prior to start (graded by SimpliFi Compliance).
• Wear any color professional scrubs; free parking in designated areas.
• Float to Neuro/Trauma/Medical/Cardiac ICU, CCU (cardiac step down), PCU/ACC, ED holding, Med Surg units, or any open surge areas; possible float to Allenmore Hospital as needed with advance notice.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with ICU experience.
• SSN and DOB required.
