Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an ICU - Intensive Care Unit assignment in Kansas City, Missouri.
About the role
This is a 13-week travel assignment starting on September 21, 2026, with a 12-hour night shift and a total of 36 hours per week.

- Epicardial Pacing Wire Care and Management
- Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization/intervention
- Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Sheath Removal
- IV insulin protocols
- Acute Kidney Injury and Chronic/Acute Renal failure management
- Intake and Output monitoring
- Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management
- Shunts/Fistula Care
- Urine output assessment
- Accessing/Managing Ports
- Arterial line management
- Blood Product Administration
- Central line care/management
- PICC line management
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Continuous IV sedation
- Emergency Medications administration
- Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
- Titrate Cardiac drips
- Titrate Vasoactive drips
- CVA/Acute Stroke management
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Care of Ventilated Patient
- Fresh tracheostomy management
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
- Pulmonary edema management
- Respiratory failure management
- Suctioning (ETT, NT)
- Ventilator Management
- Activated Clotting Time (ACT) monitoring
- Fibrinogen monitoring
- Infection Prevention
- INR monitoring
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- Management of high-output drains
- PT/PTT monitoring
- Recognition of infection in immunosuppressed patients
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in ICU - Intensive Care Unit
- First-time travel nurses accepted
- 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (preferred or optional in some scenarios)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (preferred or optional in some scenarios)
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Ability to float between departments, units, and facilities as needed
Special Requirements
- STEMI management
- Complex Heart Failure management
- Post Code care
- Complex cardiac patients with device support (Impella/Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump - IABP)
- Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) patients (1 year post implant)
- Complex medical patients
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Impella and IABP management
