About the role
Join a supportive 10-bed Intensive Care Unit providing high-acuity care for critically ill adult patients in a collaborative environment. First-time travelers are welcome.
- 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
- 1:2 Nurse-to-Patient Ratio
- 10-Bed ICU
- Flexible scheduling with block shifts available
- Collaborative ICU team with 24/7 hospitalist, respiratory therapy, and tele-intensivist support
Responsibilities
- Care for critically ill adult patients with conditions including:
- Heart Failure
- Respiratory Failure
- Sepsis
- Ventilator Patients
- GI Bleeds
- Stroke & tPA
- Post-Code Patients
- Pneumonia
- Post-Surgical ICU Patients
- Titrate vasoactive drips including Levophed, Propofol, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem
- Interpret telemetry rhythms (RN reads strips)
- Care for ventilated patients, BiPAP, High-Flow Oxygen
- CRRT available (travelers will not be assigned CRRT patients)
Requirements
- Active RN License
- BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required
- At least 1 year of ICU experience
- Strong teamwork and critical thinking skills
- Experience titrating vasoactive drips and caring for ventilated patients
