Travel ICU RN - $1,957 per week

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel ICU Registered Nurse for a hospital contract in Chesapeake, Virginia.

About the Role

This travel nursing assignment is designed to meet today’s workforce needs in a hospital setting. The role offers an opportunity to provide critical care nursing in the ICU and collaborate with a healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing in the ICU, including ventilator management and telemetry monitoring.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and perform critical care procedures.
• Float to Stepdown Unit, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical units as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies and compliance requirements, including licensing and background checks.
• Perform duties such as IV drip titration, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia recognition and management, and emergency response.

Requirements

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Three years of critical care experience preferred; previous travel experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in Epic.
• Strong neuro critical care experience.
• Experience with ventilator management, telemetry monitoring, and IV drip titration.
• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), ACLS (American Heart Association only), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Chesapeake will not consider candidates with any license or background hits. Local RN candidates living within 50 miles of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare are not eligible.
• Submit with completed Qualivis Cover Sheet, current NURSYS report, and all requested time off listed.

Pay

Pay range: $2,070.40 - $2,173.92 per week.

Schedule

• 13-week contract.
• 36 hours per week.
• 12-hour shifts: 19:00 - 07:30 (Night, 4x12-Hour).
