Nurses are expected to manage complex patient needs, operate ventilators, and administer titratable drips while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and patient care. Job Details Location: Carlsbad, NM Floating to Emergency Room (ER) and Medical Surgical (Med Surg) departments required Patient ratio: 1:2-3 Number of beds in unit: 12 Scope of role: Full care for ICU patients, including handling ventilators, managing medication, and patient hygiene. Holidays may be required. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system utilized: MedHost Scrub color: Any Floating Responsibilities Nurses will maintain a float log in the ICU. When floating, nurses primarily provide support in the ER without an assigned patient load, assisting with call lights, medication administration, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws. In the Med Surg department, nurses may take on a full patient assignment of up to six patients or work in an aide capacity for a maximum of twelve patients. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required Experience in ER and Medical Surgical departments preferred TNCC certification preferred Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, and medication mixing preferred Requirements All travelers must complete a fingerprinting process as mandated by state regulations.Thrive Staffing Job ID #19361795.
