About the role

This is a 13-week travel contract position in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) at a facility in Cleveland, Ohio. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour rotating shifts: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) & Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
  • Shifts may vary based on operational needs

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the SICU, including monitoring and assessment
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care discussions

Requirements

  • A minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty, with at least 18 months of recent SICU experience
  • Active Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand at the time of submission
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • A reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for
  • Travel experience is acceptable

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
