Join our dynamic team in a 29-bed unit within a level 2 trauma center, where exceptional patient care is our priority. Unit Specifics Number of Beds: 29 Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2 (occasionally 1:3 with patients ready for transfer) Staffing Description: No CNAs available, one telemetry staff. Equipment: Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV 1000 and CCO, Primaflex CRRT, Cardiohelp ECMO Documentation System: Meditech Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours; requires commitment to every other weekend. Floating Policy: Travelers float first to ED or step-down units. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments in critical care settings. Manage ventilators and perform ABG interpretation. Titrate vasoactive drips and monitor hemodynamic status. Perform critical procedures including intubations, central line placements, bronchoscopy, and bedside trach and PEG tube placements. Qualifications Education: Current RN license. Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS. Preferred Certifications: TNCC, NIH, ABLS. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting. Work Environment This role offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, with an average of 12 years of experience on the unit. The ICU supports a heart program with approximately 200 cases annually, encompassing advanced technologies such as CRRT, Impella, IABP, and ECMO. Dress Code Required uniform: Navy blue scrubs.
