Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,630 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Redding, California.

About the role

The organization is seeking an ICU registered nurse for a night shift position in an acute care setting. This role involves providing specialized care to trauma, neuro-stroke, and post-TPA patients. The ICU unit has 30 beds, operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2, and provides a fast-paced environment demanding clinical expertise and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to trauma, neuro-stroke, and post-TPA patients
• Interpret tele monitor strips (GE monitors)
• Titrate drips such as vasopressors and sedatives
• Work efficiently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Coverage for every other weekend and holidays

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• COVID vaccination
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Experience with ICP monitoring and ventriculostomies
• Prior trauma care background
• Ability to pass an onsite dysrhythmia test

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification
• Experience with neuro-strokes, head injuries, and TPA patients
• Prior travel nursing experience

Schedule

• 13-week assignment starting 09/15/2026
• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
• 36 hours per week minimum
• One-day unit orientation
