Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,489 per week

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Registered Nurse in this specialized role, you will provide inpatient-level nursing care to patients boarding in the Emergency Department while awaiting transfer to an inpatient bed. Your work will enhance patient safety, throughput, and continuity of care during high hospital census periods.

Responsibilities

• Care for admitted boarder patients specifically located within the Emergency Department.
• Maintain a patient ratio of up to 2 patients (2:1) with varying acuity.
• Administer care to patients requiring ventilators, vasoactive infusions, or other critical care needs.
• Collaborate with ED physicians, hospitalists, ICU teams, and inpatient services.
• Potentially provide temporary care in another unit within clinical competency if departmental needs arise.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Recent critical care experience required.
• Competency with ventilators, drips, and high-acuity patients preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Night shift: Sunday night through Thursday night, 19:00 – 07:30. 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 13‑week contract.
