About the role
The Maryland location is seeking a qualified Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a specialized adult oncology and bone marrow transplant unit. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care in a high-acuity environment, managing central lines, arterial lines, and vasopressor titration, while adhering to unit protocols and standards.
Schedule
- Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Orientation: 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Holidays: As needed by the unit
- On Call: No on-call requirement
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting
- Manage central lines, arterial lines, and vasopressor titration
- Adhere to unit protocols and standards
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- ICU experience with central lines and arterial lines
- Vasopressor titration experience
- Adult oncology and bone marrow transplant experience
- Candidates who have previously worked in any capacity for any Johns Hopkins facilities must have a minimum of one full year elapsed since their last assignment before applying as a traveler (verification needed prior to offer)
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology background
- Alaris pumps experience
- CRRT experience
- Critical Care Certification
- Trauma course completion
- EPIC and ACLS certification
- Experience in mixed ICU/floor unit
- Adult oncology, acute care, or telemetry experience
- ICU experience in a hospital setting
