Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,260 per week

About the role

The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse for a night shift position. The role involves providing primary care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity environment, including caring for ventilated, sedated, or post-surgical patients with complex needs. The ICU Nurse will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Care for ventilated, sedated, or post-surgical patients with complex needs
• Manage ventilator troubleshooting and operate Phillips telemetry monitors
• Read telemetry strips and monitor patients with PEG tubes, CVCs, and tracheostomies
• Titrate drips such as Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, and others
• Provide care for patients with PEG tubes, CVC/PICC/Midline, and tracheostomy care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists
• Float to other units as needed

Requirements

• Certification in BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Active Illinois license or confirmation of application process
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience
• Knowledge of ventilated, sedated, and trauma patient care
• Understanding that the facility is a drug-free campus with a negative drug screen required

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
