Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,225 per week
Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located in Franklin, Indiana. This role involves caring for patients with complex health conditions in a 12-bed unit that combines critical care and step-down care. The nurse will provide advanced patient management, including titration of drips and monitor patient status using advanced equipment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, with a schedule planned out for 6 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid license to submit
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
- NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant ICU experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and titrating drips such as Levophed, insulin, dopamine, and heparin
Unit Notes
- The unit has 12 beds, consisting of 6 critical care beds and 6 progressive care beds.
- Patient ratios are 1:2 in CCU and 1:3-4 in PCU.
- The unit manages patients with sepsis, respiratory distress, OD/ETOH withdrawal, DKA, and others.
- Equipment & Tech: Ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, oximeters. RNs read strips and monitor all telemetry.
Shifts & Scheduling
- Self-scheduling with a 6-week outlook.
- Four weekends within a 6-week schedule; one major and one minor holiday if in contract time.
- Generally on call if needed, no call outside of scheduled needs.
- May float to Medsurg if needed; experienced in ER preferred for ER float.
