Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,136 per week

The Good Life MedStaff is seeking a travel nurse for an ICU - Intensive Care Unit assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Responsibilities

• Care for complex ICU patients including surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro, and trauma cases
• Manage diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-cardiac cath, post-surgical, and multiple system trauma
• Handle cardiac patients (CABG/TAVR 24–48 hours post-op preferred but not required; no fresh open hearts unless experienced)
• Administer IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics)
• Manage hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilators, and telemetry
• Perform peripheral blood draws (ICU CRNs place all midlines)
• Float to ED/PCU or ICU as qualified
• Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity team setting with strong critical thinking and assessment skills

Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 (acuity dependent).

Requirements

• 2 years of ICU experience (excluding travel) most preferred; 1.5 years may be considered with significant non-ICU RN experience (management approval required)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT strongly preferred
