The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located in a 24-bed acute care unit within a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized critical care to patients, including procedures such as intubation, central line placement, EVD placement, and chest tube management. The position requires both technical skills and adherence to safety protocols, with the opportunity to utilize advanced equipment and technology.

Schedule

• Nights shift, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized critical care to ICU patients
• Perform procedures such as intubation, central line placement, EVD placement, and chest tube management
• Adhere to safety protocols and utilize advanced equipment and technology
• Float within the unit as per hospital policy
• Follow hospital-specific protocols and guidelines

Requirements

• Valid nursing license
• 2 years of ICU experience
• ACLS certification
• Basic proficiency in intubation, line placement, and EVD placement
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ventilator management
• Experience with Baxter pumps and SLED dialysis
• Experience with documentation in Meditech Expanse
