Job Details

Medical ICU is a 20-bed mixed ICU/Step Down unit. Combination of ICU 2:1 and Stepdowns are 3:1. Floating to sister unit 5S to take SD 1:3 or progressive level patients at a 4:1. Weekend and holiday rotation commitment.

Job Requirements

• Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years
• Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years
• Completion of Ascension Core Competencies within a year of start and updated every 3 years
• Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years
• Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start; updated annually for specialty
• Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, Fit Test, and TB screening
• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually thereafter
• Completion of background checks including criminal background, EPLS, and employment verification
• Must provide professional references and education verification relevant to clinical work

• Unit is Medical ICU with mixed ICU and Step Down patients
• Floating to sister unit 5S for Step Down or progressive level patients

• Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding
• Ascension Color Vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years
• Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation must be completed and uploaded
• Ascension Profile (Resume) required for submission
• Ascension 2 Professional References required for submission
• Ascension Criminal Background Check Results must be completed within 30 days of first assignment and updated annually
• Ascension Confirmation of Assignment required upon initial assignment and updates upon extension
• Ascension Employment Verification required and updated annually
