About the role

This is a 13-week contract night-shift position (3×12-hour shifts). The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures delivery of quality care by adhering to the nursing care plan, supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, and promoting a safety-focused environment for patients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and form individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information for initial and re-evaluation team conferences.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, prioritizing education based on health care needs.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide patient teaching for discharge anticipation.
• Maintain communication with care providers to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel while promoting a safe work environment.
• Engage in team-building activities to foster a positive workplace atmosphere.
• Identify and pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift for certain locations.
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
