Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $1,950 per week

About the role

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse position in a high-acuity, fast-paced medical intensive care unit. The role involves caring for critically ill patients with complex respiratory, cardiovascular, and multisystem conditions, utilizing advanced procedures and monitoring equipment. The position requires flexibility in floating to different units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Care for critically ill patients with complex respiratory, cardiovascular, and multisystem conditions.
• Utilize advanced procedures and monitoring equipment.
• Manage patients requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation, post-cardiac arrest targeted temperature management, multisystem organ failure, COVID-19, ARDS, DKA, ETOH withdrawal.
• Perform procedures such as bedside central and arterial line placements, chest tube insertions, rapid sequence intubation, thoracentesis, and code blue responses.
• Float to other units (e.g., telemetry) as needed to ensure proper staffing.
• Work with specialized equipment including Zoll intravascular cooling systems, Phillips monitors, Drager ventilators, and Zoll defibrillators.

Requirements

• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with critically ill patients.
• Valid ongoing certification per hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Experience with arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, and high‑acuity ICU procedures.
• Prior experience in a high‑volume emergency or trauma setting is advantageous.
