Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $1,923 per week

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while emphasizing patient and employee safety in all aspects of care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to inform individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and prioritize the education of patients and families based on health care needs.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching on the day of admission.
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and maintain open communication with management regarding service needs.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested, participating in effective time management and prioritization.

Requirements

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift for specific facilities.
• A minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

This position is a Day shift with 3x12.0 hours weekly.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
