Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $1,918 per week
About the role
The High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) provides specialized care for patients aged 18 and older who require acute brain injury treatment, respiratory assistance, or rehabilitation and monitoring for complex medical conditions. The unit features 20 semiprivate rooms accommodating up to 40 patients, equipped to deliver around-the-clock respiratory care, diagnostics, and rehabilitation services to patients dealing with chronic or complex diseases.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and monitor patients with acute and complex medical conditions.
- Administer medications and manage IVs, including continuous sedation and blood product administration.
- Perform various nursing procedures such as central line and tracheostomy care, and suctioning.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including respiratory therapy and rehabilitation services.
- Utilize a charting system (Cerner) to document patient care and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a High Intensity Care Unit or similar setting.
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.

Pay & Schedule
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
