About the role
A medium-sized hospital in the South metro area of Wisconsin is seeking an ICU RN for its 10-bed unit. The position offers a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio depending on patient acuity, with a 12-hour night shift rotation and 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing critical patients under the supervision of a physician
- Monitor vital signs and administer medications as necessary
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Document patient progress and treatments accurately in accordance with hospital policies
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Wisconsin
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in an ICU setting preferred
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certifications
