Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $1,771 per week

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation of assessments and interventions.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program while utilizing the nursing process for direct patient care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to relevant care providers to support continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Maintain a safe and positive work environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Assume charge responsibilities as required.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Pay

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
