Travel ICU/MS/ED Float Pool RN - $1,916 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an ICU - Intensive Care Unit assignment in Alamosa, Colorado.

About the Role

This is a 13-week travel assignment starting on August 17, 2026. The position requires 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in the ICU/MS/ED float pool
• Perform para/thoracentesis, intubation, and central/arterial line placement
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Care for ventilated patients
• Manage ports, arterial lines, and chest tubes
• Administer BiPAP/CPAP, blood products, and emergency medications
• Manage chronic/acute renal failure, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, and ICP monitoring
• Handle CVA/acute stroke management and procedural sedation
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Perform phlebotomy, PICC line management, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG and follow IV insulin protocols
• Adhere to isolation precautions/PPE and infection prevention protocols
• Chart using the facility’s required system (experience with Paragon and Practice Partner preferred)

Requirements

• 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active state or compact RN license (pending licenses accepted)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred)
• Two supervisor references from the last 18 months
• Flu shot required during flu season (October 1 – March 31)

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual pay may vary and is subject to change during the assignment.
