Travel Histotechnologist Job

About the role

Histotechnologist opportunity in a hospital setting in Watertown, New York. This travel assignment starts on 10/19/2026 and runs for 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Process, embed, cut, and stain surgical and autopsy tissue according to established policies to support Pathologist examination
• Prepare and stain cytopathology specimens for Pathologist interpretation
• Manage tissue from receipt through processing and embedding; prepare microscopic sections for diagnosis
• Maintain supplies and equipment; participate in the department’s Quality Assurance program
• Perform specialized histology techniques as required for diagnostic purposes

Requirements

• New York State license required for Histotechnologist (Histotechnician AAS credential)
• Education: Bachelor of Science in medical technology, biology, and chemistry or HTL certification from a recognized agency
• Minimum 2 years histology experience
• Ability to work 8‑hour day shifts with early start times in a hospital setting (start around 5:30 a.m. or 6:00 a.m.)

Pay

Weekly pay ranges from $2,325 to $2,448 with guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Schedule

Shift is 8‑hour days, 8x5, with start times around 5:30 a.m. or 6:00 a.m.
