Job Summary
Histo logy Technician position located in Aiea, Hawaii. This role involves performing histological techniques, routine and special staining, and preparation of surgical and cytologic specimens. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
BS in a chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution (preferred)
Two (2) years of recent work experience as a histology technician
Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with autopsies, frozen sections, grossing, MOHS surgery, and working with special stains
Additional Information
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written
Capable of working independently and in a team environment
Excellent customer service and coaching skills
Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making ability
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and troubleshoot issues
Familiarity with Laboratory Information System (LIS)

The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
