About the role
The main purpose of this position is to support the academic and administrative work of the John W. Rawlings School of Divinity (RSOD). This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events and travel arrangements, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate events, including conferences, meetings, and corporate functions.
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodations.
- Develop and maintain event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Cook up and maintain event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

- Coordinate travel arrangements for employees and guests, including flights, accommodations, and transportation.
- Create and distribute event materials, such as agendas, invitations, and itineraries.
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth execution.
- Handle post-event tasks, including feedback collection and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Credentials
- Proven experience in event planning and travel coordination.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in related field.
- Preferred qualifications include certification in Event Planning or Travel Coordination, experience with international travel arrangements, and knowledge of current trends in event planning and travel management.
