About the role
Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Keene, New Hampshire.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients from infancy through adulthood while working collaboratively with the healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize knowledge of age-related growth and development to individualize patient care.
- Work effectively within a team setting to ensure seamless communication between emergency department staff and external responders.
- Administer drips and maintain ventilator support as necessary.
- Adhere to nursing philosophy and standards of practice in patient care efforts.
- Adapt to high-stress situations with quick decision-making and effective action.
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts with a commitment of 48 hours per week.
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required.
- No scheduled on-call, but may be contacted during low census periods.
- Must accommodate to work during designated holiday blocks if scheduled and needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Department experience is required.
- Prior travel nursing experience of at least 3 months is required.
- Experience with the EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is required.
- Candidates must possess their own vehicle for transportation to the assignment.
- Current New Hampshire RN license or compact license must be obtained prior to starting the position.
- Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross are required.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be made at the time of submission, and the facility will not approve requests after the application has been submitted.
- A maximum of five days of RTO will be considered.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- More experience than the minimum is preferred.
